The VIII Quantum Gravity in the Southern Cone conference will take place from December 16th to December 20th in Argentina and Chile.
This will be the eighth installment of the series of conferences, with previous ones held at Punta del Este, Uruguay (1996); Bariloche, Argentina (1998); Valdivia, Chile (2002); Punta del Este, Uruguay (2007); Buenos Aires, Argentina (2010); Maresias, Brazil (2013); Punta del Este, Uruguay (2017).

The conference will cover recent advances in quantum gravity, broadly defined. It will bring together experts from different areas, including:
- black holes;
- gravitational waves;
- holography and entanglement;
- inflation and cosmology;
- loop quantum gravity;
- string theory, swampland and the landscape.
